On My Way!

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

I can’t wait, almost time to start heading up to MA again for another trip to see Nick, and Becky. Plus Chruu and Diane. Really miss being up there, but hey this weekend is going to rock. Plus big news for some people coming up this weekend, but they don’t know it yet, mostly because I am lazy. Leaving tomorrow after work if anyone really cares.

Turns out the UStream Broadcaster for my phone works pretty darn well as you can tell from the live video feed. I am hoping to get a good feed from my computer at work to be constant, thought that might be cool. It was a pain in the butt to gett he darn thing to work because none of the plugins worked the way I wanted them too. O well.

I am getting married…..ha take that world

Also to Becky. I am really sorry to hear about your loss. I am sure he was a great man.

WOO HOO PLANS!

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

So plans are being set in stone now for me to get out of Connecticut for a while and go visit some friends. Wicked excited about it, can’t wait to get out of here.

Nick and Becky had their baby, who is freakin beautiful by the way, so I hope I can find some time where they are not dead tired and get over there to see whats going on. I have not seen them in a while so I figure it might be nice, plus I figure I can cook some food and bring it up. Also gonna go visit Diane and such try to get Chruu int here as well.

Wow talking about it makes me want to leave work and do it right now.

Weekend Fun? Boston Anyone?

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

So my girl and I just had our three year anniversary, so as a surprise for her I booked a hotel room at this place Aloft… it was one of the coolest places ever, but I will get to that later. I also snagged up some tickets for The New England Aquarium. Not a bad place to be, pretty fun, defiantly has the potential for me to go back again for another visit.

So Steph and I get up tot he hotel on Saturday, and we check in, then head up tot he room. The elevator was crazy! he floor was a gel floor, so when you step on it, the gel moves and the floor changes its look. Also the lights in the ceiling would change depending on where you were standing in the elevator.

We were on the 4th floor of the place, not bad, we were on the front side of the building to so we could see everything out of our windows. The room was really nice, it had a nice cozy king size bed, and a huge glass shower. Really modern looking on the inside.

So we go down to the pool because we felt like relaxing, and we were the only ones there so we played a fun game of volleyball, the water was ok, the pool was only five feet deep so it was nice, I could just stand up haha. Then this nice couple shows up and asked it we wanted to play a game, so for the next half an hour I made a fool of myself jumping around the pool trying to hit that damn ball. Steph kicked me right in the ribs, it hurt like hell, of course everyoen laughed.

So we go back to the room, I grabbed a shower, and then we met up with Chruu and Diane at the hotel bar. It was fun, we ended up at Chruu’s place before going out into Boston to find a fun place to hang out. The stupid train on the green line went out of service while we were on it which was nice, so we had to walk forever to get to a place. We end up at this place Trinity where we had some drinks and went upstairs to dance.

After an awesome night I gave Steph a piggyback ride through most of Boston so we could make it to the T on time so that we would not need to pay for a cab to go all the way back to Lexington. Got back to the hotel, went to bed. The rest I will write up later..

IM OUT!

Oklahoma!

Monday, September 7th, 2009

SO I am in Oklahoma City for the duration of this week, until Friday. 5 hours of flying, not too bad. But couple that with kids sitting in front of you and near you, kind of lame. I know I will probably have my kids fly with me at some point but at least teach them to sit still! Also, a 35 minute flight seems kind of pointless to me but oh well. Should have checked the weather beforehand because I decided to wear jeans and it turned out that the temperature in OKC is about hmmmm 94 degrees? Whatever, change of clothes and went to Red Lobster for some delicious seafood and I’m pretty sure my waiter was a basketball player. My hotel/suite/whatever is way too big for me but I’m not going to complain about it! Tomorrow is going to be boring as I actually have to do work! I have to get paid to something I guess…

Weekend update

Monday, August 31st, 2009

This past weekend was pretty rockin. Well, Saturday was anyhow. That’s pretty much the weekend. Friday I went home because I thought Calvin needed help packing. Apparently, no. Holy Cross has people who help you move stuff in. Well, in that case, screw helping him move in. Anyways, Saturday was when the fun began.

Started drinking with Orb at 4:30 while watching Jingle All The Way. Awesome movie, Arnold is hilarious. Diane and all her friends showed up around 6:30 or so, went into the North End, ended up walking around looking for some phantom feast. Ended up just walking into some restaurant (they’re all the same…pick one!), and got the seafood ravioli. SO GOOD. And 2 bottles of wine. Gotta keep drinking, no stopping now. Now, we were originally suppose to go to Hong Kong and get scorpion bowls. I was really excited for that. BUT we ended up going to the bar next to Hong Kong instead, Trinity. Which was pretty good, but still, I wish I had a scorpion bowl. Another weekend perhaps.

Trinity was…a good time. The girls got kamikaze’s to start, and Orb and I went with a Jager bomb…followed by a kamikaze…followed by 2 jack and cokes….and ended with a stoli and sprite. Like I said, good times, good times. Melissa was basically counting down to when they would open up the upstairs area, and when they did we all just bolted for it. Turns out, it’s a dance floor area up there too. Ended up drinking a bit more and dancing for awhile. Then Diane bought her and Melissa a beer, but Melissa didn’t want it so she kept handing it to me to drink it. At least it was Harpoon so it was a decent beer….Afterwards, we left around midnight to catch the last T, and Diane and everyone left, I’m about ready to go to bed, orb just points at me, points at the n64, and goes “Smash Bros. Now” Lets just say, I’m horrendous at Smash when I’m…smashed. heh.

But it’s ok! Fixed that the next morning by destroying Orb a few times when I was sober. Should’ve drank that bottle of wine too…ended up just sitting around watching Sci fi movies (I love marathons), and playing video games. Apparently, that’s what Sundays have turned into now. And there’s nothing wrong with that!

Oh, and I’m going to write a novel. And post it here. Because Chuck doesn’t like short posts.

Hi

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Only because its the first time I have mostly because my computer lies dormant a lot of the time now.. work likes to take up a lot of time

Schedule:

  • Wake up @ 6am
  • Work @ 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Assorted happenings @ 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Sleep
  • Then do it again until friday but hey, money is nice right?

Diane’s party was nice, saw chruu’s apartment – and his fridge full of drank. I went to boston for my two year anniversary with Becky saw so many weird people and had a pretty good time!

I am heading to upstate new york this weekend driving 8 hours!

I would advise anyone looking for a job to look into the government and may I name drop the air force? They are paying for me to travel and not really do much work at that. As of right now it looks like im travelling in two weeks and again late next month, and I just started 20 july ?

I’m sure i won’t be able to post much on here but I will try as much as possible. Can’t do it at work unfortunately they block a lot of stuff (non official blah blah), I need to get out of my parents house as well!

Restaurant Week!

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

So glad it’s Restaurant Week. Means I can go to nice fancy places to eat delicious food cheaply. Oh yeah. And it’s for 2 weeks too!

Friday we’re going to Toro in the South End. Should be good, it’s a tapas restaurant. I like tapas restaurants. There’s one in Waltham that makes a delicious scallops plate in some kind of orange sauce that I’d do many horrible things to get.

A lot of seafood places too, which is great except for the fact that one of my roommates doesn’t like seafood. Whatever, more for me to eat.

Going to the gym twice a day sucks. Waking up at 5:30am to go, then going again after work is horrendous. I don’t know why I do it…

The new layout looks cool. Nice toned-down colors, not too bright and the text is easier to read…

Girls, Food, Money

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

So last night, I spent 3 hours at MIT’s Behavioral Research Lab, watching football. They had us guess if the next play was going to be RUN or PASS. Easy Enough. In the end, I came out with $59 and a nice chat with an extremely gorgeous girl. Too bad she’s way ahead of me intellectually. Double majoring in Math and Neuroscience. AND a minor in Energy. On top of that, she didn’t even want to go to school – she wanted to be an auto mechanic. Uhh…marry me now? Oh, and yeah she was Asian too, Chinese I believe. And also a sophomore…I wish i asked for her number or asked her out to dinner or something. What a bummer…

In other news, Character’s next to the Kendall/MIT stop is a decent place to eat. The burgers were DELICIOUS. I got some kind of pizza burger (red sauce, sauteed vegetables, mozzarella), and it was great. Lucas got the usual bacon/egg/cheeseburger. The thing looked intense. What I liked best though, was the bun they used. It wasn’t a normal hamburger bun, but instead it almost looked like a sweet bun. Tasted great. Beers were OK, a bit overpriced, the usual selection.

Probably going to head to Wonder Taste tonight for dinner. Haven’t had Chinese food in a long time, I miss it…

My Weekend

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

So I know I was going to update the site and start putting pictures on it and whatnot, but come on, I am lazy. I work from nine in the morning to six at night, then I drive to the gym, then I go home. I am tired. Though I did promise to update the site so here we go…

So my girlfriend and I went camping on Friday night. I don’t know how many of you live in Connecticut, but if you were around you would know that it was the storm of the century…. Needless to say we got to the campsite after work and it was pouring buckets. I was a little depressed because I really wanted to have a camp fire and such, you know, add to the whole experience. Putting a tent up in the rain is great to, luckily I had enough towels to dry the inside once the damn thing was set up.

So I am sitting in the tent with Steph, watching the rain, when we realize that the tent leaks. Just freaking great. So we hope in the car, drive to Walmart, and for those of you who know me well you know how happy I was to be at a Walmart. I ended up buying some more towels, a floating flashlight, and a huge tarp for under $30. A good price, but I hate Walmart with a passion.

We then headed over to this diner to get some food because we forgot a knife to make food with. I think it was called the Shoreline Diner, I can’t even remember where it was. Food wasn’t bad, but eh I was tired and grumpy at this point so whatever. We headed back to the campsite, and luckily it had stopped raining for a while, so we got the tarp over the tent, and I was able to get the fire going. Had a few beers, and went to sleep.

Now I am not a huge animal lover, dogs are cool, fish are ok, but birds suck. So at five in the morning, damn crows are landing on my tent and making all sorts of noise and are generally being douchebags, so of course I am punching the top of my tent and yelling like a mad man until they leave. Also small side note, if you camp, don’t put a tarp over your tent if the sun will be bright and shiny in the morning. The tent will turn into a boiling death trap.

We got up, had some breakfast, got changed, and headed over to the beach to chill for the day. Not a bad day except for the nice sunburn I got on half my body. Damn sun….pisses me off.

I have some pictures, I will put them up soon, keep checking back.
